Control-Q designed and hosts its own web site using standards based HTML, CSS 2.x compliant style sheets and Javascript (ECMAscript). Our servers are running on the latest version of FreeBSD 7.x and Apache web server. We support server side programming by means of the Tcl/Rivet plugin, which brings the power of the Tcl/Tk interpreter into the Apache server as a very efficient plugin module. In addition, we support PHP 5.x along with SQLite 3.6.x, and PostgreSQL databases. Note that a small but significant amount of Javascript was necessary to induce certain (Microsoft) browsers to actually comply with the standards they claim, and additional Javascript support libraries utilize the useful and sophisticated jQuery library, and various plugins. We also provide support for the Drupal content management system, and have enjoyed a great deal of success it.
